UPDATE:
Most of the rooms at the Granville Island are now booked up. Give them a call and get your name on the waiting list because additional rooms will probably become available closer to the date. But if you don't want to wait and would like a nicer hotel room than what the Park Inn offers, we recommend:

The Opus Hotel is an easy cab ride away. Not cheap, but a nice boutique hotel in funky Yaletown.
